Whitney James
Whitney James has been a licensed attorney in Arkansas since 2007. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Journalism from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Following this, she attended the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law for her Juris Doctor. She is licensed to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and the United States District Court for both the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas.
Whitney brings a wide range of legal experience to the Bardwell Firm, including a background in workers’ compensation, personal injury, family law, Social Security and civil rights matters. She has also represented clients in wrongful death, construction law, and other civil litigation matters.
Prior to joining the Bardwell Firm, Whitney was the managing attorney for the Professional Licensure Standards Board for the Arkansas Department of Education. During her more than five years with the Department, she worked on matters involving educator ethics, charter schools, the Division of Higher Education, the Arkansas State Library, and military family engagement.
Whitney grew up in Boone County and is a 1998 graduate of Bergman High School. She is excited to return to serve the community that helped lay the foundation for her success. Her focus at the Bardwell firm is education law, family law, and civil litigation."
